PRIVATE TREATY BULL SALE

Cattlemen,

Our 2008 private treaty bull sale will be on Monday, February 11th at my Dads farm.  Directions to the farm are, from Hecla 6S, 2E, and 2S on highway 37.  From Groton 21N and from Houghton 5 miles straight east, (do not take the curve).

This year the quality runs as deep as ever.  If you are looking for bulls that look alike and have EPD’s to match, you will find a number of them that will work.  All the bulls are solid colored except 3 Red-white faced bulls. There are only 3 bulls that are scurred and the rest are smooth polled.

Included in this offering are several Simm-Angus bulls and one Simm-Red Angus. The majority of these are from PB Angus cows mated to Simmental bulls.

This year we have added the services of Jeff Thomas to the sale day. In the past we have had a hard time with keeping up with the phone calls and returning them in a timely manor. So with Jeff’s help things should go smoother.

Jeff has purchased a number of bulls for us sight unseen. We have been totally satisfied with his services.  So if you would like another opinion, contact Jeff’s cell # at 406-581 8859.

The bull sheet contains piles of information, but every year more correlations between traits appear, some positive some not. While the space on the sheet is limited we hope we have the information that is vital to your operation. We do have more information available, please call and we will supply it.

Most of the cattlemen who have purchased or bid on bulls know how the Limited Auction works. If it’s new territory for you, contact us and we will explain the process.  We encourage you to view the bulls before sale day and select the bulls you want. If you want to bid on that calf you may do so any time prior to 4:00 pm on the 11th. We try to keep all bidders up to date when someone else bids on the same bull. (Please call so we can explain the process before hand.)

New this year will be our web site www.traxinger.com we will update this the week of the 28th through the 2nd.  If you want photos of any bull in the offering we can do that also, just e-mail us at mtrax@nvc.net.

We encourage you to call with any questions or if you need more information on any particular bull.  If possible please stop by, view the bulls and have a cup of coffee
